All about our Newborn Photography
That moment when you bring home your precious little bundle. Such an incredible, special time in your life and a time when your life completely changes and you cannot believe you could ever love as much as you do. We at Kate St Pier capture this snapshot in time of those incredible early days with your gorgeous newborn and create beautiful, stylised images you will treasure always.
From our studio at Barleylands Craft Village in Billericay, Essex, we warmly welcome you into a relaxing space. Our newborn shoots are around 3-4 hours in order that we take our time and give you an experience to treasure. We will spend time discussing your expectations and we work together to make sure you will be thrilled with the finished images.
Your baby’s safety is paramount, which is why we are paediatric first aid trained and this is always kept up to date. We also always work as a team of 2 to make sure your baby is safe, warm, happy and secure during our time with you. More often than not, the majority of our time is spent comforting your newborn to make sure they enjoy the experience too. Our newborn shoots really are led by your baby. And we love to take our time to get to know our clients too!
Please get in touch so we can confirm an ideal slot for your session. We usually suggest that between 7-21 days old, is an ideal time however we welcome babies of all ages and if your baby is older than 21 days, we will still be able to create some beautiful images. Your baby may be more awake so then, we will be able to capture their beautiful eyes and expressions. Sessions, of course, warmly welcome partners and siblings too.

When is the best time for my baby to be photographed?
We usually suggest between 7-21 days. As soon as you know your due date is a good time to get in touch to book your session. As we know, that date is subject to change so we will happily accommodate this but it is always best to contact us as soon as possible to secure your studio time.
What should I bring with me on the day?
We have a selection of fabrics and accessories for your baby, however we do suggest that any clothing is plain and un patterned. But please feel free to bring a selection and we can discuss this prior to your shoot.
Where are you based?
Our studio is situated at Studio 30, Barleylands Craft Village, Billericay Essex CM11 2UD which has the convenience of free car parking, toilet facilities and a very lovely Tiptree Tea Room!
Can my partner and our other children be included in the session?
It’s a magical time for all the family so yes, siblings and partners are most definitely included.
When will our images be available?
A private reveal appointment is scheduled roughly a week after your session where you will see 25 beautiful images printed to fine art photographs.

A non refundable deposit of £99 is payable at time of booking to secure your session.
